Saulus

Saulus was sold at a livestock auction as a bottle baby. Fate brought him to Welcome Home, where he terrified us by refusing to take a bottle. Our vet came out right away, and through an examination of his teeth and X-rays, we made a shocking discovery: Saulus was not a baby at all, but at least one to two years old. Having suffered prolonged neglect, he weighed a heartbreaking 9 pounds upon arrival and was completely terrified of humans.

Through patient care and devotion, Saulus underwent an incredible transformation, blossoming to a healthy 30 pounds and earning a reputation as the biggest lover at the sanctuary! His journey from a fragile, mistreated survivor to a thriving, affectionate boy is a powerful testament to the healing magic of sanctuary life.
