Figgy

Figgy was rescued just one day before Thanksgiving from a meat farm, where she was the last remaining turkey. As we carried her to safety, the farmer casually bragged that 119 turkeys had been slaughtered for the holiday. Figgy survived what so many others did not.

Despite the fear and loss she came from, Figgy is pure love. She is gentle, cuddly, deeply affectionate, and incredibly intelligent. She seeks out connection, leans into affection, and greets each day with curiosity and trust. Figgy reminds us that turkeys are not meals. They are friends, family, and individuals with rich inner lives.
